Come On Down to Feathers and Tails Farm
Alpaca Tour
Your tour will begin with a fun, entertaining presentation, then move on to feeding and interacting with our alpacas. You'll have lots of time for photo ops, and to check out our store which is always stocked with many products made from alpaca fleece as well as alpaca/llama themed items.
Learn About Chickens
Not only learn about but experience the traits and behaviors of chickens. The word “chicken” so commonly refers to a processed food commodity rather than a living being, people can be surprised by chickens’ strong personalities, their ability to form friendships, and their capacity for curiosity—including a deep fascination with many of the humans who visit our farms.
Alpaca Yoga
"Alpaca yoga mat" Come practice yoga while peaceful alpacas graze about.
Just bring your yoga mat/towel or blanket and camera, and we'll provide the alpacas. We offer one class a week, alternating between Saturday mornings and Friday evenings.
Classes are approximately 45 minutes long. Kids are more than welcome too!
Farm Products
What’s In Stock
Feathers and Tails Farm is always growing. As part of our philosophy, we have a deep respect for nature’s ways, which is why all of our fruits, flowers and produce are farmed locally and responsibly. We only sell whatever is in season, so you can be sure that anything you buy at Feathers and Tails Farm is freshly picked.
Alpaca Products
Our products are made from alpaca wool and alpaca fabric. Alpaca wool is considered a luxury fiber with unique properties. It is five times warmer and lighter than sheep’s wool. Its quality surpasses that of the Kashmir. The fiber comes in over 22 natural colors and an infinite series of colors that can be produced by mixing these fibers. This fiber is elastic and resistant; due to its structure it is also thermal, which makes it perfect for different climates.
Fresh Pasture Raised Eggs
Pasture-Raised Eggs means that our ladies are given at least 108 square feet each and consume some organic feed and lots of grass, bugs, worms and anything else they can find in the dirt. They are let out of the barns at sunrise and come back in before nightfall for nightly lullabies that we sing to them. Our happy hens have access to organic feed and treats but they prefer to spend their days foraging outdoors.
